Yumi Health
Careers

Build something that actually helps people.

Yumi Health is a small, mission-driven team in Hackensack, NJ. We build the tools, processes, and relationships that make health insurance clearer and more honest for NJ residents.

Why Yumi

A small team solving a real problem.

Health insurance in America is confusing by design. We are on the side that makes it less confusing — and we need people who care about that.

  • Mission-driven: we exist to make health coverage honest, not to maximize commissions
  • Small team — your work ships and is immediately visible to real clients
  • Hackensack, NJ headquarters with remote-friendly culture for eligible roles
  • Health, dental, and vision benefits for full-time employees
  • Learning budget for certifications and professional development
  • No bureaucracy — direct access to founders and leadership

Our culture

Honest work, honest culture.

The same values we bring to clients — clarity, no pressure, annual accountability — apply internally. We give direct feedback, own mistakes, and make decisions that serve clients even when it costs us short-term.

We are a startup by every meaningful measure: small team, fast decisions, roles that expand as the company grows. If you want to work at a place where your output is visible and your opinions matter, Yumi is worth a conversation.

Teams

Where we hire

We are a cross-functional team. Every function works closely with the others — there are no silos.

Engineering

Full-stack web development (Next.js, TypeScript, PostgreSQL, Azure). We build our own CRM, AI tools, consumer plan-comparison products, and carrier integrations. Small team, high ownership.

Data & Analytics

Claims cost modeling, TrueCost™ projections, lead scoring, and performance reporting. We work with structured insurance data — plan benefits, formularies, network files, and enrollment data.

Marketing

SEO, paid search, email programs, and local NJ community outreach. We lean into education-first content — guides, explainers, and tools that earn trust before a lead is a lead.

Client Success

Post-enrollment support, renewal coordination, and the human touchpoints that keep clients from getting lost in the system. Requires empathy, patience, and fluency in insurance terminology.

Operations

Compliance tracking, carrier contracting, RTS management, and the back-office processes that let advisors focus on clients. Detail-oriented, process-driven work with real regulatory stakes.

Agent Relations

Recruiting, onboarding, and supporting independent producers in our FMO. You understand the producer side of the business and can help agents get the most out of Yumi's platform.

Open roles

Roles are posted as they open.

We hire deliberately — we would rather wait for the right person than fill a seat. Check back here or reach out directly.

No roles posted at this time.

If you believe you are a strong fit and do not see a relevant opening, email your resume and a short note to contact@yumihealthgroup.com. We keep unsolicited applications on file for 90 days.

Note: we are a licensed insurance brokerage — some roles may require or support obtaining an NJ producer license. We can discuss that during the interview process.
