What vision coverage looks like
Vision plans typically cover an annual eye exam plus an allowance for frames, lenses, or contacts every 12 or 24 months. Most NJ plans include a discount on LASIK and other elective procedures. Networks are key — VSP, EyeMed, and Davis Vision dominate in NJ.
For Medicare beneficiaries, vision is rarely covered by Original Medicare (only when medically necessary). Medicare Advantage often includes a routine vision benefit. We confirm your eye doctor takes the plan before you enroll.
