From first question to enrolled — four steps.
No jargon, no pressure. Our process is designed so you understand what you're buying and why — before you sign anything.
The process
Simple, honest, and at your pace.
You control the speed. Some clients enroll in one conversation; others research for weeks. Both are completely fine.
Choose your path — or let us guide you
Start on your own with our Medicare finder, ACA eligibility check, or AI concierge. Or call us directly. There is no wrong starting point. You tell us what you already know and where you feel stuck.
Compare real cost — not just the premium
Our TrueCost™ engine projects your expected annual spend based on your conditions, medications, preferred doctors, and county. A $0-premium plan can cost thousands more than a $120/month plan once deductibles and network gaps are factored in.
Talk to a licensed NJ advisor
Every advisor holds an active NJ producer license and completes annual carrier training. They answer your questions, explain the tradeoffs, and help you enroll — at no cost. Carriers pay us; your premium is the same either way.
Enroll — and review every year
We handle the paperwork. And every fall before the Annual Enrollment Period, your advisor reviews your plan against new options. Coverage that fit last year may not be the best fit this year.

Why Yumi
We work for you, not the carrier.
As an independent broker, we have no incentive to steer you toward a particular plan. We compare across 20+ carriers and recommend the one that fits.
- 20+ carrier partners — we find the best fit, not just what we have
- Licensed and DOBI-regulated in New Jersey
- TrueCost™ projections include deductibles, copays, and network exposure
- No advisor fee — ever
- Serving all 21 NJ counties
- Annual review included — we do not disappear after enrollment
TrueCost™ projections
Most plan comparison tools show only the monthly premium. TrueCost™ adds your expected deductible spend, tier-based drug costs, specialist copays, and estimated out-of-pocket maximum — giving you a full-year cost estimate by plan.
Annual review, included
Every October your advisor reaches out before AEP (Oct 15 – Dec 7). Plans change their premiums, formularies, and networks each year. We compare your current plan against new options and flag anything worth switching.

Common questions about our process
Does working with Yumi cost me anything?+
No. Carriers pay Yumi a commission when you enroll. This is built into the plan premium — it does not add to your cost. The premium you pay is identical whether you enroll through us or directly with the carrier.
Do I have to use the AI concierge, or can I just call?+
Either is fine. The concierge at /guide is a fast way to get plan options without a phone call. But if you prefer to talk, call us at (201) 633-7713 during business hours.
What if I already have a plan? Can Yumi still help?+
Yes. We review existing coverage every AEP (Oct 15 – Dec 7) and can often find a plan that costs less or covers more. There is no obligation to switch.
How long does enrollment take?+
For most plans, 20–30 minutes with an advisor. Medicare Supplement applications can take slightly longer due to underwriting (outside your open enrollment window). ACA enrollment is typically completed the same day.
What lines of business do you cover?+
Medicare (Advantage, Supplement/Medigap, Part D, SNP), ACA individual and family plans, and supplemental coverage (dental, vision, hospital indemnity, critical illness, life, long-term care).
Do you only serve New Jersey?+
Currently yes — we are licensed in New Jersey and serve all 21 counties. We are actively licensing in additional states and will update this page as new markets open.
